A near-mint, brown 1st gen. GLC wagon with a stick? Be still my beating heart. I wouldn’t spend $5,000 on it, but I absolutely adore this car.

You’re not crazy. That looks like a great little car!

I’m sure it is a fine car, but I can not stand when people do not put full car shots in a car ad. Yes, I see the hood, that one quarter panel, the instrument cluster, the rear passenger wheel, and the door. I want to see the whole car!!!

It’s maddening when folks do this.

How much wobbly doritos will fit in it?

Hey, find another one in that good shape, Steve. For GLC aficionados, this is a Holy Grail.

These cars just look so damn happy coming the other way.

I recall that they were competent cars, nothing more. But if they have a fan base, I can get behind that.

I was being tongue in cheek. There’s no way it’s worth 5 grand. I do sincerely love the little wagon, though. I’d gladly give half that amount for it. Maybe even a little more.

I knew you were not quite serious ... I’d go a grand if it’d been serviced as required. But IRL, I’d buy a Volvo wagon with as much safety equipment as they could stuff into the thing. But that’s not something that will ever happen - we’re New Yorkers now, and we’re not budging.

That’s one clean looking car! Not sure if it’s worth 5K if the current owner had “I was unable to dedicate time to building the car up”-issues.

And what is that

Mazda 323 retro Nissan 510 JDM Japanese Drift

all about? Drifting this? The guy is nuts!

Maybe he thinks if he can convince people it’ll drift, he can justify the 5,000. It’s got to be the cleanest one left. I don’t know who the hell owned it, but they have my respect. I’d love to have it, but there's a lot of other things I could do with five grand.

Good point. It even isn’t JDM as it was just available over there (as well as over here). This one never would end up on my shortlist. I’d rather PAO.

The PAO is definitely cooler, but the GLC really has some charm. And Tartan!

I’d hold out for a hatch with those crazy stripes:

Kinja'd!!!

And yes, you can count me in as a fan of these, but they aren’t too common here in the southeast. I’d DD one though, and it’d be fun to take to cars and coffee. I believe the one above had a rotary swap from a mid ‘70's Cosmo (hence the grille) and had a bunch of suspension upgrades. I think it sold for like $6k on ebay a year or two ago.

EDIT: Sold for $4500 , and the rotary was out of a RX-3.

Yeah, the little hatches are sweet. I see a beat up one every so often out here in L.A. No stripes, though. That one is awesome. 4500 sounds like a decent price for it. That’d be a blast as a daily. Or, if you don’t want to maintain it, for the weekends.
